Evans Ufeli, to create awareness on the need to take responsibility in cleansing Nigerian society of social vices. “Society is not changed by the multitude, but by the very few that have the courage to stand up for what is right! This is the philosophy that guides what we do as a team. What we do may not appeal to the majority; it may not even attract enough likes, comments and shares on social media.”

These words are probably not enough to qualify twenty-three-year-old ‘Neurite Mendes‘ from Angola, who beat 17 other contestants to emerge the winner of 2016 Miss Africa pageant. The competition which was organized by Cross River State government, took place on November 27th, in Calabar. Ms. Mendes took home $25,000 and a car. Refilwe Mthimunye of South Africa was the first runner-up and Jencey Anwifoje of Cameroon was the second runner-up. Both ladies went home with $15,000 and $10,000 respectively.

Mr. Trump released a short video on you-tube this morning outlining his policy plans for the first 100 days in office. The former ‘Celebrity Apprentice‘ host and business mogul promised to create jobs for Americans, “Whether it’s producing steel, building cars or curing disease, I want the the next generation of production and innovation to happen right here, on our great homeland, America, creating wealth and jobs for America workers,” He said. The video marked his first address since his Election Day acceptance speech nearly two weeks ago.

Brazil’s Miss Bum Bum pageant has crowned 24 year-old Erika Canela of Bahia as it’s First Black Winner at the grand finale of it’s sixth annual competition, which took place on November 9, 2016. Canela, a model and Samba queen, was compensated with about $14,900 in prize money, a modeling contract and the opportunity to make millions of pounds in product endorsements. She succeeded Suzy Cortez, officially earning the title of  the best derriere in Brazil.
