Haters beware! Whether Joseph Minala is 17 or 41-years-old, please stop cyberbullying him, ok? You don’t want to be sued by Lazio. O well, Joseph Minala is a Cameroonian midfielder who claimed to be just 17-years-old, but actually looks way older than his age at a glance. Although his document shows that he’s 17, it’s very hard to believe him which has provoked uproar on social media.

According to BBC, Lazio are
defending Minala and threatening to take action
against allegations that he’s not of the age they claim: 

“We reserve the right to take action against those responsible for the protection of the good name of the company and the footballer,”

 BBC also reported that Minala told an African tabloid website that he was actually 41. Minala refuted those  reports saying:

“I have read the alleged statements posted on the website senego.net in which it says I confessed my real age which was different to what was stated in my [official] documents, 
They are false statements that have been attributed to me by people who do not know.”

The Cameroonian attacking midfielder who joined the Roman giants in December 2013 has now blocked photos on his Instagram account, deleted his Facebook profile and filtered out Twitter pictures of himself. He also tweeted the following message, which has been translated.

“Envy is the weakness of man, and those with a poor soul hurt others when you are in Serie A. Love you! Forza Lazio.”
