All hell broke loose as the member of the Julius Malema – led Economic Freedom Fighters [EFF] party ganged up with Soshanguye residents of Pretoria to demolish and set ablaze the church building of the ‘End Times Disciples Ministries,’ on Sunday. The church belongs to the controversial pastor, Penuel Mnguni who has been making headlines recently for his outrageous demonstration of power in a highly publicized situation such as ordering his church members to strip naked, eat grass, drink patrol, eat human hair and also swallow live snakes as part of deliverance process.
The 24-year-old controversial pastor tied the knot with his excited heartthrob Boitumelo Rakubu recently. The EFF brigade had sworn to make Penuel Mnguni eat rodents and snakes like he did to his congregation, but according to the reports the pastor was not there for Sunday’s service. However, Mnguni’s absence did not stop the EFF from executing their plans on the church premises.
“Residents and members of EFF reportedly became infuriated when another man on the podium continued with the services while they were inquiring about the whereabouts of the pastor,” They then went ahead to burn down the tent where church service was usually held. There was also physical altercation between church members and residents. In spite of the disruptions, the congregation vowed to continue with the service. Police were said to have monitored the situation from afar.
