The 36-year-old controversial singer and new dad opened up his ‘Yeezus’ tour on Saturday October 19, 2013 with the appearance of a Dead Ringer for Jesus before performing his ‘College Dropout’ hit song, “Jesus Walks,”
As the man walked on stage, West asked ” White Jesus, is that you?….Oh shit,” and later he and his female back-up dancers bowed to the dead ringer for Jesus while he was standing on the mountain top.
He performed a nine-song set which included songs off his platinum-selling “good kid, m.A.A.d. city” album. The rapper was joined by Kendrick Lamar, who served as his opening act for the show.
