The video captured an attack led by a member of the Rivers State house of assembly in an attempt to impeach the speaker of the house, Mr. Otelemba Amachree.
The Speaker and 26 other members of the house are loyal to governor Rotimi Amaechi, while five others led by Evans Bapakaye Bipi, representing Ogu/Bolo constituency are loyal to President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Patience. Five members of the House opposed to governor Amachi engage 13 of their colleagues in a fight shortly after the pro-governor law makers refused to remove Amachree. The leaders of the House, Mr. Chidi Lloyed; Martins Amahule and Michael Chinda sustained serious injuries during the fight.
