Deuman’s infant daughter, Evelynne Deuman, was found dead with a condom in her mouth on Aug. 12, 2011. The death occurred at Deuman’s home on Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indian Reservation in northern Michigan.
Deuman claimed that he went outside for a cigarette only to come back and find their daughter on the floor bleeding from the nose and unresponsive with a used condom in her mouth. Instead of calling 911 for help, he called the child’s mother – Natasha Maitland to inform her that the baby was not breathing. Maitland called 911 after which they attempted to transport the baby to the hospital, but were met by responding paramedics who tried to revive Evelynne before rushing her to the hospital but to no avail. Deuman later told Natasha Maitland that he had pulled the used condom out of their daughter’s mouth. Subsequent tests revealed that the DNA on the outside of the condom belonged to the baby and on the inside belonged to Steven Dueman.
The prosecution argued that Deuman’s story did not make sense, as the girl was too young to crawl or even roll. According to CBS Detroit, autopsy result showed no evidence that the girl fell ,rather she died of asphyxiation.  Wow! Some people are just animals in human skin. This is just unspeakable.
